Weekly Planner Spread: Week 20 and Week 21

Hello Lovies!

Before I start, let me show you my Last Week Review: Week 19 --

Status post Week 19

Sooo.. I juggled between crewmembers' calls, update reporting to my clients, one hospitalized crew in Washington due to multiple fractures secondary to fall, and finishing two online quizzes from my eHealth Management class. Not much.... just the usual havoc week for me.

Oh...before I forget.. I attended the Mom Workshop by Smart Parenting with the topic on All About Toddlers last Saturday. The draft has been written for this blog post, but I'm still waiting (researching) for other inclusive topics to add to this article. Just watch out for this post by the end of the week.

Week 20 and Week 21

How's your week so far? As for me, I'm just about to start my work week. I was not able to work yesterday because I was feeling under the weather. We are now beginning to experience some rain showers, but the weather bureau has no official statement if the summer season has ended already. Oh well, I'm just glad that the temperature is beginning to cool down a little bit.

Now, let's talk about my weekly spread. From what you see here, my set-up for this week remains moderately spartan. With just minimal decoration -- I used decorative tapes and the Bible passage that I printed in bond paper. I like planner decorations like stickers, stamps, and other blings that some people put into their planners or organizers. But with the work that I have right now, I don't want to flood my pages with other stuffs that may distort my organizing thoughts.

So, my spread is still clean. I can't wait to see the "after" look of this one.

Welcome to My Workplace

Hello wonderful readers!

I'm still feeling under the weather as of this writing, but I just don't want to put a gap on my blog posts. I even have not finished plotting my March blog calendar yet (geez!). I just hope that my energy will be restored in the next coming days as I have soooo many things to do.

Alright-ty...let's get this on! For this post, allow me to share my workplace. Yep, I want to talk about my office building and tour you around inside. Are you ready?

Our office is located at BGC Taguig on the 19th floor of Tower Two Uptown Mall. We moved here last December 2015 from our first office at SM Aura.
This is what the building looks like outside.

Carved Soap Flowers from Thailand

Thank you to Dr. Jae for this unique souvenir from Thailand. :)

http://katzlifechapters.blogspot.com/

At first, I did not know what to make out of the wooden orb with a stencil drawing of the famous icon of Thailand - the elephant. My colleague told me that it is a soap.

Me: What? Seriously??

Liz: Oo! Buksan mo para makita mo yung sabon.

(Oo nga naman..may sabon bang kahoy??? Duh?!)

So I opened the orb and lo and behold! A beautiful carnation flower was inside the mysterious wooden orb.

Me: Ohhhhh! Sabon ba talaga to? Parang ang baho naman...Sorry, I don't like the smell. It's like a combination of moth balls and citronella concoctions.

Beautifully Carved by Thais

I googled the said souvenir item hoping to be enlightened by its beautiful creation. What I learned from Oddity Central was that this craftmanship originated in the villages around Chiang Rai and just started out as a hobby when the locals were not working in the rice fields. They mastered it over time and the rest is history. Genius eh?!

What really striked me most (aside from the smell) was the detail on how every petals of the flowers were skillfully carved out. And the wooden orb is also a beauty!

I also found out that you can order these lovelies online: Wholesalers of Thai Soap Flowers

Oh well, I am thankful and contented with just one. :)

The Fruit of My CEAP Contribution

This morning when I woke up, I opened my cellphone and checked for my Daily Bible Verse. This is what I read:

What's the relevance of this message to me, you may ask. Today I received my CEAP benefits! I thought I am no longer qualified to receive any separation pay since I only begin to contribute for CEAP in 2006 (I think). CEAP stands for Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines. If you are an educator working in a Catholic institution, you are asked to contribute a portion of your salary for your retirement. Since I am an obedient employee, I registered and started to contribute.

But I lost interest in processing since I resigned voluntarily and I am below 10 years of continuous contribution. With the persistence of my mother, I processed the papers for separation and just waited for whatever benefits I will be receiving. I checked and read the contents at their website for any clues on whatever amount I will be receiving. I found nothing. This lead to my hopeless consideration that I may not receive anything at all. Knowing that I will need all the financial help now since I am about to give birth this month via Caesarian section, I just prayed to God that He will provide us with whatever grace He can give us. I never ceased praying and the Bible message really gave me hope.

I filed the papers late October, then forgot all about it. Que sera sera...

But we can really never tell what's in store for us. As we keep on worrying about our daily lives, on what's going to happen the next day, He already laid out the cards of our chances. All we have to do is have FAITH IN HIM.

So, this afternoon, I received a phone call from my mother informing me that I have check from CEAP. The amount can really help in my CS delivery. While I was worrying on where to get the funds for this expense, HE provided it for us. Truly, God works in wonderful ways.
